finally. blogger can work.

wednesday_

financial literacy workshop wed and thurs. hahs. the board game was so fun. like monopoly but not really monopoly. hahs.
umemployed for like 3/4 of the game. for all 3 games. hahs.
still. managed to survive. saving squirrel (:

went for ice cream workshop in the afternoon. hahs.
mrt-ed down to nanyang poly at yio chu kang with sze hui. jac. yanhan. pris. huiyan. justin. daxino. sean and edmund.

its huge. we were supposed to go to like lab Q514 la.
thats like Block Q, 5th level, lab 14. lol. seriously big.
anyway. ate at the canteen there. shared with pris ice kachang with just jelly.
chatted until we were late. lol.
ok. so we entered the lab and its like entering a totally different place.
the huge windows makes it feel like you're on the 20th floor or something.
so niccee..
after the tak about ice creams. we went to make our own! hahs.

basic recipe for ice cream (:

ingredients!
milk 60g

gelatin 1g

sugar 30g

cream 100g

vanilla essence 1/2 teaspoon

egg white 1


steps!

1. weigh milk into small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over it and stir. Allow to soak for 5-10 mins.

2. place the bowl in a pan of boiling water and heat until the milk reaches 80°C or about 3 mins.

3. Dissolve the sugar in the milk.

4. cool mixture by placing bowl in cold water.

5. add cream and vanilla

6. pour into metal container/bowl and put in freezer.

7. as soon as a layer about 12mm thick has frozen around the sides of the container, scrape the mixture into a bowl. about 20-30 mins

8. beat egg white using an electirc beater until it becomes foamy/fluffy/like
whipped cream.

9. beat frozen mixture and add in the egg white.

10. put inside metal container/bowl and put inside freezer.

besides the freezer one. we also got to make one using the ice cream machine! hahs.

after that was like a tasting session.
we had to guess the flavours of the ice cream.
the colour of the words represent the ice cream colour. they wanted to trick us. lol.
tried orange mango cappucino pandan and coconut.
only managed to guess cappucino and mango.
coconut was like too concentrated. only had one bite. hahs.
after that tried evaporated milk. egg yolk. orange juice. and skim milk and water.
i think i ate enough ice cream to last me for the rest of the year la. hahs. so full.
took the train back to clementi. totally exhausted that day. hahs.
